We have 10 classrooms with shared areas and a central courtyard. All the rooms are light and bright. The school has a large hall used for a variety of purposes. Other areas include a new computer suite, learning support room, pottery room, library, music room, and a purpose built family room. All of our accommodation is on one floor and we also have specialist changing facilities for disabled pupils. |

The classrooms are welcoming and reflect the children working there. Children’s work is on display with other information to support the children with their learning. Visual timetables, targets and rules are in displayed in each classroom. All of the classrooms have access to a shared area. These are used as extra space for groups or for art and craft activities. Each class has access to cloakroom facilities to store coats and bags tidily; everything else is kept in the classroom easily available for the children to use. There are computers in each classroom so that children can use ICT to develop their knowledge and reinforce their computer skills. |

The hall is used for all whole school activities. Assemblies, concerts, theatre performances, visitors all meet in this large open space. It is also used for indoor PE, dance and drama. At lunchtime children use it for dining. Displays showcase the children’s achievements outside school and in year group displays. After school it is used for extra curricular clubs and community use. |
|
Our ICT suite is used by all of the children in the school on a time tabled basis. ICT is used to enhance the learning of the children both through selected computer programs and through access to the internet. All of the computers in school are networked and have broadband access. |

The play space for the children is extensive. There is a large grassed area for play and PE. We have two large playgrounds with markings to encourage play and a separate playground for the Foundation Stage with access to large play equipment. We encourage children to play by system of Playground Buddies to help children use their playtimes actively. The children use a SWAT code in the playground to avoid conflict. We have an exciting trim trail which all children share and table top activities for children to use to invent games and stories. Beyond the playground and field is a “wild area” incorporating an Outdoor Classroom, a pond with a variety of habitats and an outdoor theatre. |

Reception classes are vibrant, exciting, places where children begin their learning through well planned play opportunities. The resources are bright and suit small children learning by experiment. Children are encouraged to be independent, problem solve and to follow their own lines of enquiry giving them control over the outcomes and the confidence to try different ideas. They have regular access to both indoor and outdoor play spaces. The playground is a safe, fenced area with access to large play equipment, bikes and scooters. |

Our reception area provides a welcome to the school. We have a secure lobby to sign in visitors and all visitors are asked to wear a badge. Parents can get a wide range of information and help from the staff on duty in reception. |
