OSCARS Breakfast & After School Club
OSCARS after school club is based at Carisbrooke CE Primary School and offers a fun and caring environment with qualified staff.
The club is open Monday to Friday during the term-time from 7.50am – 8:30am and from 3:00pm – 5:30pm. The ratio of adults to children is maintained at 1:10 and caters for children of 4 – 11 years old.
Breakfast Club:
On dropping off, parents/guardians should report to the Oscars team where children must be signed in by the accompanying adult.
Breakfast is served promptly at 8:15am with a choice of cereal, toast, crumpets with spreads and water or milk.
At the end of the session the children are taken to their classroom.
If your child has specific dietary requirements, please speak to a member of the Oscars team prior to your child attending the club. This is to ensure we can cater for your child’s needs.
After School Club
A member of the Oscars staff will collect the children from their classrooms at 3:00pm. Registration takes place promptly at 3:05pm.
All children must be signed out by their parent/guardian on collection – if there are any changes to who usually picks up your child please let the staff know.
If you need your child to stay later than the booked time, please contact the school office on 522348 (if after 4:30pm, please call 522348 extension 111)
In the event of a child not arriving at the club as pre-booked:
- The school register will be checked to see if the child attended school
- The premises will be checked and if the child cannot be located, the parents/guardians will be called along with the Police.
If a child is not collected by the end of the day (5:30pm), a late charge will be applied and, if no contact can be made with parents/guardians or other named persons, Children's Services will be contacted.
The Staff
All staff hold valid DBS certificates, are first-aid trained and attend and receive safeguarding updates.

OSCARS adheres to a number of policies and procedures which are reviewed annually including Care, Learning & Play, Anti-Bullying, Staff Development, Health & Safety, Special Needs and partnership with Parents/Carers.

Fees
Breakfast
7.50am – 8:30am £2.75
After School:
3:00pm – 4:15pm £3.85
4:00pm – 5:30pm £4.85
3:00pm – 5:30pm £7.70
Bookings and payment must be made in advance at least 48 hours in advance. Payments’ should be made online via SCOPAY.
We require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations – cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged for the session.
Non arrivals will also be charged.
